The Nordic Flotilla Project is an unique international fine art production
and performance that encompasses the passage of time and space, measured in months to years and thousands of miles, while
commemorating the discovery of America by the Vikings, hundreds of years before Columbus' expeditions.
It
is a continuing performance of hand-sculpted ceramic vessels plying westward across the Atlantic Ocean, under the power of
the winds. A flotilla of Viking dragon boats, they are crafted in Sweden (by my American hands) to be launched from the Canary
Islands to the beaches of the Americas.
